Wolterton Hall

Wolterton Park was originally built by Horatio Walpole; brother of Britain’s first Prime Minister Robert; who built nearby Houghton Hall. Our beautiful Wolterton Hall was built in 1741. After standing empty for over 30 years, this Grade 1 listed stately home and cottages are being meticulously renovated. This makes for the perfect corporate retreat in Norfolk. This exclusive use venue is the perfect hideaway for discrete corporate events.

Currently being restored to its original Georgian glory, the Wolterton estate and this unique property provides guests with the ultimate in comfort in glorious surroundings and the East Wing has stunning views towards the lake.

The State Rooms in the Walterton Hall can be used for a major reception. Designed to entertain important guests in the eighteenth century including the King and Queen and foreign dignitaries. They still impress today as they are double height rooms with elaborate cornices and ceilings, enormous original marble fireplaces and huge windows with wonderful views over the lake. They are arranged around the full height Palladian stone staircase which allows circulation from room to room but also back into the hall.
