Spread across three floors of Carlowrie Castle and Gate Lodge, we offer fourteen spacious and luxurious bedrooms, accommodating up to 26 guests. Every room enjoys breathtaking views across the 32 acre castle grounds.
The Castle’s private suite, aptly named The Isobel after Isobel Wylie Hutchison the Scottish female Arctic explorer, botanist, writer, poet, artist and polyglot who lived her whole life at the castle is the ultimate in luxury living.
Spread over 115 elegantly designed square metres, indulge yourself in its two double guest rooms and two bathrooms with stunning dining and living space. Breakfast in your own perfectly manicured, private garden and discover the most intimate and secluded space.
Carlowrie Castle has recently renovated the Gate Lodge which has increased our accommodation from nine bedrooms to fourteen. Within easy strolling distance of the castle, the lodge offers sleek interiors and immediate access to all that the venue has to offer, just in a more private setting. Carlowrie Castle has 32 acres of manicured parkland overseen by our Head Gardener, Andrew Oliver and his team. Isobel Wylie Hutchion’s legacy can be seen across the estate. She planted many plants in the grounds, including rare species that she brought back from her travels.
Between expeditions and in later life Isobel worked tirelessly in the Victorian glasshouses and carefully preserved the layout of the formal gardens which still exist today.
